What happened to Bondi in the Gaslamp?

January 29, 2010

From the looks of it, Bondi Bar & Kitchen in the Gaslamp has closed. For good? Why? Does anybody know? I guess I’ll need to head elsewhere to get a refreshing Cooper’s Sparkling Ale after work or before a Padres game. (I know the Yard House serves Cooper’s.)  One Yelp reviewer has a firsthand account but there doesn’t seem to be much else out there. Do you know?  I’ll bet the residents at Trellis have some scoop.

  1. Hi, I live in Pacific Terrace and walked by a few weeks ago and the doors were just shut…weird. So I googled, came across your website and this one below. They closed up shop. Sad.

  2. According to the San Diego Business Journal, it looks like the guys at Donovan’s Steak and Chop House are looking to open a new restaurant in the old Bondi location this summer. Not necessarily a steak place, but probably worth a look.
