Hodad’s coming to downtown San Diego!

A favorite burger spot in 921OB since 1969, it appears that Hodad’s is adding a new location in downtown San Diego at the corner of 10th & Broadway in the East Village (College District).  Now you can get a Bacon Cheeseburger before or after a Padres game or before or after a visit to the El Dorado.  Of course, if you know the area, this new spot is next to the sorta recently revised Chee Chee Club if that’s more your style.

According to one of the owners, the permitting process has pushed back their grand opening until November.  Check out this recent article on the subject.  Apparently, they’ll be recycling some cool items from the site and keeping the menu exactly the same.  So hang on, 92101.  It won’t be long before you can get a Hodad’s burger without driving or braving the parking issues of Newport Avenue in Ocean Beach.
