Downtown San Diego Quiet Zone Update

January 27, 2011

downtown_san_diego_quiet_zone

Great news!  Construction has begun and the new projected completion date is:  Winter 2012.

For details about the project check out the CCDC website or go to the www.quietzonesd.info website.  Or even better, check out my previous post about the Quiet Zone for downtown San Diego.

When the project is complete, it should do wonders for the 92101 lifestyle and increase property values – especially in the Marina District, Columbia District, and Little Italy neighborhoods of downtown San Diego.

  1. When did the completion schedule slip from November 2011 to now Winter of 2012? What is the reason for the delay? Thanks!

  2. I can only guess that the delay has something to do with inter-agency scheduling and the everyday realities of any type of construction. If it makes you feel any better, I remember going to a presentation in 2004 where the projected completion date was projected for sometime in 2007. 🙂

  3. From the CCDC website regarding Quiet Zone progress: http://www.ccdc.com/media-and-publications/news/1120-ccdc-news-downtown-quiet-zone-project-progresses.html They say Spring 2012 but I’ll believe it when I see it.
